As a Solar PV Installer, you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential and commercial properties. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe and efficient installation process, adhering to industry standards and applicable codes.
Responsibilities:
Conduct site assessments: Evaluate the site’s solar potential, including roof condition, shading analysis, electrical capacity, and structural integrity, to determine the feasibility of solar PV system installation.
Install and assemble solar PV systems: Carry out the installation of solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and electrical components in accordance with project specifications and best practices.
Mounting and wiring: Securely mount solar panels onto roofs or other structures, ensuring proper alignment and integrity. Connect wiring between panels, inverters, and electrical systems, following electrical codes and safety guidelines.
System testing and troubleshooting: Conduct comprehensive testing of installed systems to ensure proper functionality and performance. Identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions promptly.
Maintain records and documentation: Accurately document all aspects of the installation process, including equipment used, measurements, and any modifications made. Complete required paperwork or permits as necessary.
Adhere to safety protocols: Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines to create a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow safe work practices during all installation procedures.
Collaborate with team members: Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and other team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
Stay current with industry trends: Keep abreast of industry developments, training opportunities, and advancements in solar PV technology, and implement best practices accordingly.
