Solar PV Install complete with inverter and battery storage
We carried out a solar PV installation for a residential property in a rural area.
The project aimed to provide the homeowners with a sustainable and cost-effective energy solution, reduce their carbon footprint, and minimise reliance on traditional energy sources.
Client Background: The clients, Mr. and Mrs. Wellock, are environmentally conscious homeowners looking to adopt renewable energy technology.
They had a well-maintained, south-facing roof with ample space for solar panels. Primary goals were to reduce their energy bills, contribute to a cleaner environment, and generate their own electricity. They also wanted to ensure their supply could remain live during power cuts.
Project Scope: The project involved designing and installing a solar PV system that would generate enough energy to offset a significant portion of the household’s electricity consumption.
The system size was determined based on an analysis of their energy needs, roof orientation, and available space.
Key Steps:
Initial Consultation and Assessment: Our team conducted an in-depth consultation with the Wellocks, discussing their energy goals, budget, and expectations. We analysed their historical energy usage and performed a site assessment to evaluate the roof’s suitability for solar PV installation. This includes considering factors such as shade, roof condition, and solar access.
Customized System Design: Based on our findings, we designed a customised solar PV system tailored to the client’s specific requirements. The system consisted of high-quality solar panels, inverters, and mounting structures, optimized for maximum energy generation.
Permitting and Financial Analysis: We took care of all necessary permits and approvals, liaising with local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations. Additionally, we conducted a financial analysis, outlining the potential cost savings, return on investment, and available incentives. This helped the Wellocks in making an informed financial decision.
Installation and Commissioning: Once the necessary permits were obtained, our skilled installation team got to work. We carried out the installation process with utmost precision, adhering to industry best practices and safety standards. The solar panels were strategically mounted on the roof, wired to the inverter and battery. The system was then commissioned and handed over to the client in working operation.
Results and Benefits:
Cost Savings: The solar PV system offset a significant portion of electricity consumption. This resulted in substantial cost savings on their energy bills.
Environmental Impact: By generating clean power from the sun, the solar PV system significantly reduced the property’s carbon footprint.
Energy Independence and Resilience: The solar system provides the customer with greater energy independence. It also reduced their vulnerability to rising utility costs and grid outages.
